What do we do when there is a looming health concern?

For most of us that looks like on-going symptoms that the doctors have prescribed first this thing, then that and it has not gone away or worse, it hurts in another spot, the side effects are horrific and the nights are getting longer from the sleep loss.

Our friends and family, if we discuss the issue with them, have added their “two cents” of advice to the mix and now it feels even more confusing and/or overwhelming to find the right next step to take. The doctor’s plan B is a procedure, tests, more medicine or possibly surgery.

Well for some of us this can be the thing we needed to hear to get us to stop and take a serious evaluation of the stress levels in our life, what kind of diet have we been eating on autopilot or how we have become caged to the fears within of doing what we have to do and putting off what we yearn to do.

I have always had a tendency to be an optimist and have found I truly believe and have proven, to myself and others, that the body has natural ability to heal itself. I mean it when I say there is a “innate wisdom” that can be“tapped” into to aid in healing the body, mind and spirit…that is what the body-mind was designed to do, if we give it the support it needs. This is why I study and practice the modality of BodyTalk for the best health possible for myself and my loved ones.Thousands of people die every year because of diseases that became chronic, progressive and degenerative and never discover that there were alternative ways to prevent the decline of their health and overall wellbeing.

Ph Miracle bookSome of the daily practices are simple to implement. Such as knowing a little about Ph balancing and why this is helpful to create and maintain a Alkaline rather than an Acidic body system! One great resource of learning about creating a Ph Balance is The Ph Miracle by Robert O. Young. I have it and The Ph Miracle for Weight Loss in my reference library.

Recently I watched the video documentary Ingredients and found it very insightful about the farming methods back in use in a few place on the planet and how some farmers in North America are returning to more natural, chemical-free ways to grow the most nutrient dense foods. You might recognize the term “farm to table” that is slowly returning on the scene to give us the choice of cleaner foods and meats to eat. Have a look around and see if this option is available near you or how you a can tap into this other resource of food “gathering”.

Did you know that there are foods as well as relaxation techniques that can lower stress levels, boost your energy, clear the mental fog and leave you feeling energetic and enthusiastic about life? Or you can achieve the same results when going on a temporary food restriction diet to determine food sensitivity. Then, after several weeks of cleaning up the digestive system and reducing inflammation, try adding back a suspect food and bingo! The experiment yields results and you can be sure to be proof positive that that food you were wondering about is the one causing the system upset. No joke, I have not been prescribed anti-anxiety or anti-depressant drugs, needed antacid relief or ulcer medication in years because I discovered for myself that drinking the amount of water, eating plenty of greens, getting adequate sleep and relaxing with pleasurable activities is what my body requires as a basic self care routine towards feeling better all over my body! Without enough water, nutrition and rest we will die a preventable and slow death, period.

As scientists explore and discover more about how the brain and heart give off electric pulses that can been monitored and recorded, outside the body and brain (known now as subtle energy), by using an EEG or EKG machine, and that we have a magnetic field around every organ and the body, that be detected by an MRI machine or that a growing newly forming human infant can be seen within its mother’s body with an Ultrasound Imagery Scanner a new and exciting world into how we truly function has opened up our awareness of the human/spiritual beings we are. In the field of Energy Medicine these electrical and magnetic energies are harnessed and used to promote healing.  Science has been proving for a while now the links between nature and our overall health but it has really been only in the last few decades that science has been rapidly confirming what the healers of old have always known and using those findings to affect our medical practices in North America. The Eastern Hemisphere of the world has known and been using the healing power of the body in all modalities for centuries and we are only just beginning to accept that everything is energy and implement some of this knowledge in our health care. ….we just did not learn this fact until with today’s technology brought us the Information Age. Now we can ask any question ourselves on Google and get an answer. Although, careful research is for one’s own situation, always recommended.

What about the harmonic energy of every gland and organ that knows how to regulate and schedule its rhythm to heal? Denise Linn, well known author for Hay House talks about the harmonic balance of the cells of the body and its importance for our overall health.

We have become such a cut it out, quick fix, pill taking society that we are stubbornly reluctant to look to other alternatives to these rather invasive methods of medical intervention.

Just look at what biotechnology, bioengineering and pharmaceutical advances have in store for us, as the following from a Wikipedia post titled Biotechnology states,

“The wide concept of “biotech” or “biotechnology” encompasses a wide range of procedures for modifying living organisms according to human purposes, going back to domestication of animals, cultivation of plants, and “improvements” to these through breeding programs that employ artificial selection and hybridization. Modern usage also includes genetic engineering as well as cell and tissue culture technologies. The American Chemical Society defines biotechnology as the application of biological organisms, systems, or processes by various industries to learning about the science of life and the improvement of the value of materials and organisms such as pharmaceuticals, crops, and livestock.[3] As per European Federation of Biotechnology, Biotechnology is the integration of natural science and organisms, cells, parts thereof, and molecular analogues for products and services.[4] Biotechnology also writes on the pure biological sciences (animal cell culture, biochemistry, cell biology, embryology, genetics, microbiology, and molecular biology). In many instances, it is also dependent on knowledge and methods from outside the sphere of biology including:

Conversely, modern biological sciences (including even concepts such as molecular ecology) are intimately entwined and heavily dependent on the methods developed through biotechnology and what is commonly thought of as the life sciences industry. Biotechnology is the research and development in the laboratory using bioinformatics for exploration, extraction, exploitation and production from any living organisms and any source of biomass by means of biochemical engineering where high value-added products could be planned (reproduced by biosynthesis, for example), forecasted, formulated, developed, manufactured and marketed for the purpose of sustainable operations (for the return from bottomless initial investment on R & D) and gaining durable patents rights (for exclusives rights for sales, and prior to this to receive national and international approval from the results on animal experiment and human experiment, especially on the pharmaceutical branch of biotechnology to prevent any undetected side-effects or safety concerns by using the products).[5][6][7]

By contrast, bioengineering is generally thought of as a related field that more heavily emphasizes higher systems approaches (not necessarily the altering or using of biological materials directly) for interfacing with and utilizing living things. Bioengineering is the application of the principles of engineering and natural sciences to tissues, cells and molecules. This can be considered as the use of knowledge from working with and manipulating biology to achieve a result that can improve functions in plants and animals.[8] Relatedly, biomedical engineering is an overlapping field that often draws upon and applies biotechnology (by various definitions), especially in certain sub-fields of biomedical and/or chemical engineering such as tissue engineering, biopharmaceutical engineering, and genetic engineering.”

Imagine a medical device that travels through the human body to seek out and destroy small clusters of cancerous cells before they can spread. Or a box no larger than a sugar cube that contains the entire contents of the Library of Congress. Or materials much lighter than steel that possess ten times as much strength. — U.S. National Science Foundation

Why do I write with such conviction in my beliefs in the ability of the body, mind and spirit to heal and nature has intended it that way?

Renee Harrison - Health NutritionistPerhaps because I have healed myself of chronic conditions such as arthritis, extreme fatigue, migraines and headaches, depression and anxiety, kidney stones, numerous stomach ulcers, leaky gut, chronic bladder and kidney infections, yeast overgrowth, anemia, low immunity, acne and poor eyesight and I am now on a path of deliberate creation to enjoy the healthiest, most fulfilling and prescription drug free life possible . I am happiest when I can teach others what I have learned and love to witness the personal growth and transformation of my clients as we learn together what they need most to heal, open their hearts and connect with their inner knowing.
